All online orders are processed daily and shipped every Monday. Any orders placed on or after Monday will be processed, but your orders will be shipped on the following Monday. If there is a national holiday on Monday, the order will be shipped the next business day.

Tracking information will be sent in a separate email once we have shipped your order. If you don't receive the tracking information, please check your junk or spam folders.

Due to the perishable nature of our kimchi, we kindly ask all customers to immediately refrigerate once the kimchi arrives. We are not liable for any damages caused by unattended packages. Therefore, we cannot send kimchi to a PO Box address or outside the U.S.

During times of extreme heat, we may add additional ice packs to ensure the kimchi arrives safely at your doorstep. This event will increase the total shipping cost.

If you did not receive your package in a timely way, please contact us at contact@imkimchi.com so that we can work out a solution for your inconvenience.

The bottle looks puffed up and it is about to explode! Is this safe to eat?

From the moment your kimchi is bottled, it will start to ferment. When it is exposed to extreme heat, the fermentation process accelerates, and the kimchi will produce lactobacillus which will cause the bottle and the lid to puff up. This may cause leakage in the package as the gas pushes the juice through the lid.

This is normal, and we will do our very best so that your kimchi arrives in an excellent condition just like when it was first bottled (and no leakage!).
